The world knows only dark
It formed from hate
It grows from pain
It shies from love
It feeds off of fear
And it lives alone

Those who exist in this world are cursed to be alone
They hide in the dark
Too absorbed by their own fear
Such fear morphs into hate
They will never know love
And so they shall only feel pain

Before long all that is left is the pain
The agony of feeling alone
No partner to share one’s love
Only the dark
And the growing hate
Of living in fear

No one ever tried to understand their fear
To learn from their pain
They were too focused on their hate
They believed that they were all alone
They did not know they could defeat the dark
With the power of love

For it is love
That is the cure for fear
It is pure, even in the darkest of dark
It can heal all pain
It touches those who are alone
And it is the enemy of hate

So if everyone put aside their hate
And everyone embraced love
And learned that they will never be alone
They will have nothing to fear
And they will no longer feel pain
Then the world will no longer be in the dark
