The circle thing in the beginning is just what I did to decide how many drawings I was going to have to do. Normally animators will map out how long to hold a picture for based on the voice they get, but because I was not working with a voice I just planned out the motion instead.
Thank you so much :)

This was for my final in my Art and Human Development class. My first ever hand drawn cel animation! :D This shows from preplanning until final production.

For my final, we had the option to do a research project about something we care about and then create what we researched. I wanted to research traditional animation and here you go! :D I wish you guys could have seen my whole presentation XD I super geeked out and got all into it, and I spent wayyy too much time talking about Don Bluth animations and Thumbelina >////>; But I think I got a really good grade :D The rest of the class loved the presentation ^^

Is it sad that I want to go to college for animation, but the only animating i've done has been for a class that is about art education?

Elijah belongs to me, as does all of this animation!

i go to concordia university in film animation in montreal and i had never done animation before it's not a program is not really oriented toward the studio environment but it's pretty cool you can try a lot of different animation medium. they still have old analogue camera stands you can use. here's the link FYI

Make sure you practice a lot and start small! :D Try doing simple animations on pads of sticky notes. Once you think you've got the hang of it, move on to a bigger project. I first started with bouncing balls, then moving people, then hair movement, etc. Just pace yourself :)

@00:13THis came out amazing!~
It's so cool to think it started off as that little round circle at the beginning and ended up as a full picture xD

Not to be random but are you going to a Graphic Arts collage?
